Department: Lab #7500 POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory test results, following quality control, quality assurance protocols, training personnel and maintaining equipment. The Medical Laboratory Technician is distinguished from the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in that the incumbent performs only waived (un-supervised) and moderate complex testing (under supervision) to include no microscopy testing defined by the State of California and CLIA ’88 federal regulations.
